Aziz Fattahi came to Davis as a Persian immigrant in 1976 for the reason most do - to attend UC Davis. He graduated with an international agriculture development degree, and opened his first business - an auto shop - several years later. In the mid 90s Aziz became interested in baking bread because he could not find any artisan bread in the area. He opened Village Bakery in 1997 after a lot of recipe development and trial and error, and the rest is history. Aziz is the proud father of three children. In his spare time, Aziz enjoys playing and watching soccer.
